The Divorce Colony
April White’s historical novel, The Divorce Colony, tells the stories of the intrepid women whose bold actions and big personalities captivated the tabloids and shifted American attitudes toward divorce and feminism in the early 1900s.
Northfound worked with April to create a website that conveys her novel’s spirit, using animations and colorization to bring archival photos to life. With an emphasis on thoughtful organization, the site highlighted a tally of critical praise, showcased engagement opportunities such as book signings and readings, and offered multiple points of purchase for the book. A dozen archival character images were colorized to further increase the novel’s exposure and share the women’s stories on social media.
