For 10 years, Night Market Philadelphia brought people together to celebrate the city’s eclectic food scene, local talent and diverse neighborhoods.
What began as a postcard to promote an offshoot event turned into more than 30 programs, banners and posters for a beloved food festival. The goal in developing the Night Market Philadelphia brand — and keeping it fresh as it evolved — was to capture the joy, excitement and magic of each event. Each year’s graphic lineup was charged with vibrant colors, playful typography and festive allusions to the distinctive historic and cultural markers of each neighborhood. When the series ended in 2019, multiple neighborhoods picked up the torch, keeping the spirit of Night Market Philadelphia alive in their own festivals.
