The success of The Food Trust’s Philly Food Bucks initiative led to a nationwide program expansion and a rebranding. In revamping the Food Bucks designs, particular consideration was given to including more produce in the primary mark and allowing for customization by partner organizations. The new bucks nod to European currency with swirling linework overlaying photos and organic textures. We added a silver foil stamp for fraud prevention, a bar code for easy system entry and modular text blocks for location-specific details. To facilitate identification, each year’s buck will feature a different background color and new fruits or vegetables on back.
